By Curiosity Tokyo
The new residential project in which Curiosity has participated as a design partner for Mitsubishi Estate Residence and Tokyu Corporation has emerged in a quiet and elegant area in Shibuya, Tokyo. Gwenael Nicolas expressed “Villa in Shibuya” in the design of this exceptional project, the 7th value residence in “The Parkhouse Gran” series, the flagship brand.
Curiosity designed the façade and the interior of the public area, including the entrance and the corridor, which harmonizes with the surrounding architecture, yet offers a green, organic atmosphere with wood louvers, expressing the villa in a natural garden.
The entire public space is designed to stimulate the emotions of both residents and visitors. They walk along the spacious and curved path alongside the dynamic andon, which diffuses warm light with different expressions in day and night, creating imagination for the next scene with a deliberately hidden entrance. Wood louvers, continuing from the façade, give residents the feeling of walking in a forest, creating an exceptional moment that transports them from the outside world to a relaxing living space.
