Tadao Ando’s Poly grand Theatre is situated over one hour by metro from the Shanghai city center, in an area still very much in development (in 2021). The building has fascinating tube-shape cutouts, that can be experienced vividly with this project. Although the reflecting water around the building was missing at the shoot, the images still give an unique view of this significant building.
Romanian artist Adrian Iliescu produced this stunning 3D re-creation of the imposing Shanghai Poly Theater. This mesmerizing project showcases not just Adrian’s exceptional talent but also his deep appreciation for the architectural genius of Tadao Ando.
