The Rockwell Bridge, linking the Power Plant Mall and the Proscenium Towers plus the Rockwell Performing Arts theatre in Makati, serves as both a functional crossing and an illuminated landmark. The lighting design enhances the urban nightscape while balancing aesthetics and practical illumination.
Inspired by subtle modern elegance, the lighting design aligns with Rockwell’s signature sophistication. It ensures safety, comfort, and ambiance while integrating seamlessly into Rockwell Makati’s skyline. Soft ceiling-embedded lighting keeps the bridge’s structure clean and uncluttered. The CSLDI team carefully positioned rail lighting to prevent light spill at the bridge’s underside, ensuring a seamless and glare free experience for both pedestrians and motorists. Surface mounted Linear LED fixtures accentuate the bridge’s contours while emphasizing Rockwell’s Properties brand.
Indirect lighting enhances the bridge’s ambiance, reducing direct glare while creating a soft, immersive glow. Carefully hidden LED linear lights on the roof and railings provide a warm (3000K) illumination, ensuring a smooth transition from the bustling city. The lighting enhances depth perception, eliminates harsh shadows, and gives the walkway a floating effect. The result is an intimate and serene experience, guiding pedestrians naturally while maintaining a modern and calming aesthetic.
