Inspiration 99 Salone del Mobile/Euroluce Milano

By David Gilbey

Milan in full pelt during their Salone del Mobile (Design Week) is bristling with creative energy, passion and inspiration wherever you look, wherever you turn and wherever you sit to take a coffee, a glass of Prosecco or even a sip of water!
Two days is never enough, though the only luxury of time that we could afford, one beautiful day taking in events and displays around the city, Zona Tortona never disappoints as you have an eclectic mix of lighting and art installations, artisan furniture makers and artists abound, never better or worse, just every time different and always inspiring.
Day two and out to the FieraMilano for Euroluce, taking in products and brands both known and unknown, catching up with industry friends, making new ones and the wonderful surprise of bumping into dear friends from around the world that you rarely see, where you take up just where you left off the last time you saw thecm, great friends are always inspiring.
To the friends we met thank you for your hospitality, hugs and smiles, to the friends we missed, including The Lights in Agora event, where a client dinner took precedence, the WIL evening, where we had a plane home to catch, apologies, warm wishes and looking forward to the next time! Like we say, two days is not enough! Gutted for those that never made it.
A few inspiring images below, we hardly touched the sides of Milan, please feel free to share your inspiring images and experiences in the comments.
