Atlantida Beach – RS – Brasil by Studio Fos Iluminação
The lighting project includes the leisure areas of the Lótus residential condominium, which includes the imposing and striking Clube da Ilha, located in the center of the condominium and surrounded by a lake, which further enhances the beautiful architecture.
The lighting project was designed to highlight the imposing and contemporary architecture, which has large cantilevered concrete planes that elucidate a lotus flower – the element that gives the development its name.
To highlight this sculptural and striking architecture, the lighting was carefully designed to avoid visual interference. Therefore, recessed luminaires were used in the ground, with a symmetrical beam, which were positioned so that they illuminate the petals (cantilevered concrete planes) in a homogeneous and soft manner, without visual interference. The use of a warm color temperature (2700K) emphasizes the materiality of the building and provides a welcoming environment. Not only taking visual interference into consideration, care was taken to ensure the visual comfort of users, for which purpose anti-glare lighting fixtures were used, thus maintaining a clean architecture from afar and comfortable for the observer close by.
